Ill

No blogs in China and no facebook either; all the noodles you can eat though. Finally figured out a way round the Chinese firewall (I is well good at computers) so can now do some updating.

After Osh we bush camped in the wild beautiful rolling hills of Kyrgystan. We hung out with some nomads and watched them play goat polo. No shit, Goat Polo. Like normal Polo except played by nomads with a dead goat instead of by posh people with weird hammers and a ball. It was cool, although there wasn't really an outer boundary to the playing field and Emmas tent got trampled on by a bunch of horse riding, goat polo playing nomads. Its ok though coz Robin got it on video so if she wants to sue she can.

I didn't really enjoy any of this to the full though because I was ill for about a week. Pretty much as ill as you can be without dying. I think I actually did die for a little bit and then come back to life again (a bit like Gandalf) but no-one else will believe me. I fought a Balrog too but nobody saw.

Anway I had to endure the worst truck ride of my life lead on the floor of the thing for about 4 hours while we drove over very bumpy roads to Bushkek, the capital. I puked into a bucket every half hour or so, kept on having to go to the toliet and turned grey. Not pale, not washed out but Grey. John Major in spitting image style deffo not maybe grey. Not Fun. I stayed on for a few days in a hotel to recover and then met up with team Australia for the big push into China. Being ill was rubbish. Full on, no holds barred embracement of the worlds quisine has now been replaced with the caution of a very cautious person.
