Its here finally. The desert. Its hot, gritty and if you live on a big blue truck and stop by the roadside to make lunch the sand most deffo gets in the sandwiches. Glad to be here though. Kazakhstan was ‘interesting’ but we’re across the border and into Uzbekistan now. Back on track. Kind of.
We stayed in a traditional Uzbek tea house. Its very Silk Road and probably hasn’t changed much for centuries. Can imagine caravans of camels and traders staying here. The shower was a sauna with buckets of hot and cold water for washing. Even had hot stones for steam. Was a very authentic experience, sometimes though you just want a normal shower. Especially when you been in the desert for days and you got no clean clothes.
