Historical Silk Road City number two. I’m being a bit flippant about these places but they really are amazing. So much history and architecture unlike anything back home. They are otherworldly. They are deffo worth a visit, even if all you do is wander round and stare at the buildings. There was culture and science and religion and grandiose buildings here when we were still painting our faces blue and running round the forest shouting ‘ugabugabuga’
Two British officers got beheaded here in Eighteen Hundred and blah blah blah. I saw the ‘bug pit’ they were kept in for years. Our hotel is awesome too. Its called Lyabi house hotel and is right in the centre. If you come to Bukhara stay there. Its in Lonely Planet and is authentic and has atmosphere and blah blah blah.
Went to a club in the evening. It had bowls of fruit on the tables. Danced like an idiot to Uzbek dance music. Is pretty much like normal dance music but with weird ethnic instruments played over the top.
